Mercedes-Benz 2025 S-Class UX Design Concept

Assigned by Mercedes Benz Research & Development during my interview process with them, I have created my own take of the UX design concept for Mercedes-Benz S-Class model in 2025 – taking into consideration of the sociological and technical changes expected by then while still representing the Mercedes-Benz brand.

Researching a history of Mercedes-Benz automotive design and all of up-coming concept designs, I tried to reach the highest level of intricate elegance and calculated safe interactivity that turns every driving experience through the cockput UI into the S-class luxury.

Instrument Cluster Panoramic Screen UI Design

HUD Design

There will be a color indicator for the road navigation. This will help a driver tremendously when there are multiple lanes on the road to select from.

At an intersection and coming to stop with a car approaching toward you, the road selection navigation and the front blind spot camera will turn on with red.

Advanced Technology

Holographic 3D experience will be added. This could enhance the entertainment experience of incoming calls,  music or video played. The graphic could also generate a 3D model that a car predicts to see on the road ahead, which could prevent from any harm or inform some significant building siting for a traveling situation.

Alternative Steering Mechanism

Perhaps, an use of a steering wheel will be over in future. It is just another object to block the view and causes harm for a driver at an accident. Alternative method could be a stick shift in the arm rest area to drive a car, which was derived by an applied technology from an advanced electric wheel chair.
